The Southern Book Club’s Guide to Slaying Vampires by Grady Hendrix
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
A wonderful vampire story with a giant twist LOVED IT! Gave me vibes of Candyman at certain points – & love how this ended.
![Lovecraft Country](https://i0.wp.com/alethea.rocks/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/25109947._SX98_.jpg?w=750&ssl=1)
Lovecraft Country by Matt Ruff
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Love this book ten times more than the HBO series, I really wish HBO would of stuck to the fact that the kid Dee was a boy named Horace and not a girl. If you haven’t had the opportunity definitely read the book.
![The Invention of Sound](https://i0.wp.com/alethea.rocks/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/50358503._SX98_.jpg?w=750&ssl=1)
The Invention of Sound by Chuck Palahniuk
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Horror wrapped around music – loved this book from beginning to end – Could have used less back story at the end – but enjoyable nonetheless.
![Trejo's Tacos: Recipes and Stories from L.A.: A Cookbook](https://i0.wp.com/alethea.rocks/wp-content/uploads/2020/12/48716400._SX98_.jpg?w=750&ssl=1)
Trejo’s Tacos: Recipes and Stories from L.A.: A Cookbook by Danny Trejo
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Really enjoyed the recipes in this book, and learning a bit more about Danny Trejo.
Curious about what I’ve read this year? Check out my reviews on GoodReads. I don’t normally share my thoughts on the books, I need to get better about that. But I do rate them.
Maybe we can become book buddies? Feel free to share any of your favorites in horror, sci-fi and beyond.
Stay Awesome,
Alethea
