Supernatural Creatures
We were approached by Penguin Randomhouse DK for the usage of one of our Cryptid drawings of El Peuchen and the use of it in their upcoming book of Supernatural Creatures: Mythical and Sacred Creatures from Around the World. Our drawing is featured on page 164 in the book, and credited in the acknowledgements under our artist name Inkeater
In 2024, we had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Penguin RandomHouse DK, who approached us for the usage of one of our cryptid drawings—specifically, El Peuchen. This mythical creature, originating from Chilean folklore, is often described as a vampiric serpent with the ability to transform into various animals, spreading fear and chaos in the night. Our drawing of El Peuchen was selected for inclusion in their upcoming book Supernatural Creatures: Mythical and Sacred Creatures from Around the World, which explores legendary beings from different cultures and their symbolic significance.
We are thrilled to announce that our artwork is featured on page 164 of this beautifully crafted volume, and we are credited in the acknowledgements section under our artist name, Inkeater. This recognition is a major milestone for us, allowing us to showcase the unique, weird, and quirky artistic style that Inkeater Originals is known for. It’s an honor to contribute to a project that brings together the mysticism, fear, and wonder surrounding cryptids and supernatural creatures, much like what we aim to celebrate in our own work.
As long-time lovers of monsters, myths, and legends, this collaboration is particularly special, as it allows us to bring our vision of these cryptic creatures to a broader audience. Supernatural Creatures is now available for purchase at major retailers, including Barnes & Noble, Walmart, and Target, making this moment even more surreal. We’re excited to see where this journey leads and to continue creating art that captures the imagination of cryptid enthusiasts everywhere.
